Three new shows announced for 2012: Teechers by John Godber, Lady Windermere's Fan by Oscar Wilde and Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, tickets will be on sale soon.

24/9/11 - After Dark - Closer
Wednesday 28th we have an after dark talkback session. Your opportunity to chat with the cast and crew and ask any questions you may have.

7/7/11 - New Shows announced

13/6/11 - New Classes
We have announced a number of new classes. We have a new acting for beginner’s course, a devising course and youth classes. We also have the return of performance combat classes including an intermediate class. Please visit the Training/Classes page for full details.

28/5/11 - Two Way Mirror
Due to personal circumstances Wing Beat are no longer able to produce Two Way Mirror at the Blue Orange Theatre. We are looking into the possibility of producing the show ourselves. We will confirm dates once we have them.

24/5/11 - New Classes
In addition to our stage combat classes we are pleased to announce 2 new classes which will be starting in September.

  • Introducting to Acting
  • Creating New Theatre (The art of Devising)

Both are to be taught by Tracey Street, an highly experienced and accomplished Theatre practitioner.

We now have dates for the second term of the Stage Combat class.

Dates: 3rd May to 5th July

Time: Tuesday evenings 7.30 - 9.30

Cost: Students may pay on a weekly or per-term basis - Pay Weekly: £10.00 per session - Pay Per-Term: £90.00 per term

Sundays Currently the youth workshops/classes we host are: - Youth Theatre Classes Course brought to you by Friction Theatre Training/Classes - Youth Theatre 10am - 12pm 1pm - 3pm Time Dates: - Autum Term: October 2nd – December 4th (10 weeks) - Spring Term: January 15th – March 18th (10 weeks) - Summer Term: TBC Cost: - £90 per term for first child - £60 for each subsequent child How to join: - Download the Application Form (see right), which includes the Terms and Conditions - Fill in on Microsoft Word or print it out to fill in by hand. - Passport photo:  we require a passport photo of your child to attach to their form.  Although you can bring this with you on their first session, if you have the photo and software to attach a digital copy, please feel free to insert this into the text box on the form. - Return the Application form to Friction Youth Theatre by email* by completing the form on your computer, saving it, and then emailing the file as an attachment back to youth@frictiontheatre.com.  Or you can send the printed form by post – the postal address for the Blue Orange is given above, and at the top of the Application form. - Pay by clicking the payment button above, where you will be asked to enter the number of children joining – the deposit price is set at £20 per child. (The remaining payment will be collected after the Term has started).  Alternatively, if you prefer to write a cheque, please make this payable to “The Workshop Theatre Ltd” and post to the Blue Orange Theatre. *We prefer to work by email as much as possible, as a faster and often more reliable system than post.  For the initial application form the consent will be acceptable as a typed signature as there will be a separate form to sign at, or before the first session.
