Teechers is a fast moving and entertaining play in which the vigour of life at
a modern comprehensive school. Three school leavers, Salty, Hobby and
Gail perform to the audience an account of their time at the school and in
particular their time with Nr Nixon, the new drama teacher who ignited their
passion for the stage with his idealism and belief that all children should be
treated equally. But can Nixon and his students manage to make it through
to the end of term play with their sanity intact?
Godber's loud and cheery comedy has a poignant end which underlines its
pointed political thrust.
Often seen as a critique on the underfunding and underachievement of the
state education system. Teechers deals with the disillusionment of teachers
and students alike making the play as relevant today as when first
performed at the Edinburgh Festival in 1987.

After purchasing tickets you will receive a paypal receipt for the transaction.
In our attempt to be as green as possible we do not print tickets. All you need to do is give your
name at the box office on your arrival and you will be ticked off the list.
Please note, you do not need a paypal account to purchase tickets online. If you wish to

All purchases will appear as 'Workshop Theatre Limited' which is the company operating the
Blue Orange Theatre.
Each performance in the Blue Orange Theatre uses an unreserved seating format.
To qualify as a concession you must be one of the following: Under 16, over 65, unemployed, a
full time student or a member of equity. Please note we will require evidence of concessionary
status.
