Casting Show currently being cast: Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson We will let you know when we have more casting opportunities. Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson We are currently looking for actors to perform in our forthcoming production of Treasure Island. Synopsis: Jim Hawkins and his mother are happy running the Admiral Benbow Inn until the arrival of an old sea dog, Billy Bones.  They barely escape death when a number of pirates descend on the inn in search of Billy's papers which Jim had snatched when they were forced to retreat.  The packet contains a map revealing the location of the pirate Flint's buried treasure, which Jim and Doctor Livesey are determined to find.  They fit out a ship and find an old seaman who helps them hire a crew and set off in pursuit of the treasure.  Unfortunately, the crew have other ideas... We are working with a new adaptation of the classic novel and will use a combination of naturalistic, storytelling and physical theatre techniques.  There will be an element of devising within the rehearsal process in order to come up with the final show. Must be able to sing; an ability to play a musical instrument and stage combat experience is also an advantage. We are looking for: 1 x Female (20s-30s). Able to play Jim Hawkins, a young boy (14ish) and central character in the story. Male (20s-50s). To play multiple major characters in an ensemble, ranging from cut-throat pirates to English gentry. The play will run from 5th April to 15th April. Rehearsals will take place from 13th March (day times) with production week beginning from Monday 2nd April. Auditions will be held on Wednesday 22nd February. Payment will be in the form of a profit share with a minimum guaranteed payment of £100 to help cover expenses.
