Performance Combat Classes
Time: Tuesday evenings: Beginners 6.30pm - 8.00pm, Intermediate 8.00pm - 9.30pm
Date: January 10th - March 13th (April dates to be confirmed)
Cost: Students may pay on a weekly or per-term basis

Performance Combat classes are being hosted by Stagefight.
STAGEFIGHT is a company that specialises in Performance Combat tuition and fight
choreography. Established in 2004 and based in the West Midlands, they have trained
actors and stunt professional from all over the United Kingdom and have choreographed
fights for professional and amateur theatre companies, student projects and various film

Always wondered what it must be like to be an actor? Wanted to try it yourself but never
had the chance or were just a little nervous about what it might involve? Want to have fun
and make new friends? Then this is the course for you …
The course will cover: Basic acting technique
Character creation
Ensemble work
Working with text
Stage craft
The teaching technique is based on play and the workshops are conducted in a supportive, relaxed environment where
everyone can learn effectively, safely and at their own pace.
The workshops will have informal sharings of work at the end of each term culminating in the rehearsal of a full
production in the summer term.
Ages: 16+ This course is suitable for complete beginners and those with a little experience wanting to brush up on the
basics.

Ever wanted to create your own plays/pieces of theatre? Does the
prospect of creating new work free from the restrictions of a script or
boundaries of traditional theatre excite you?
Devising is about unlocking creativity, stretching the boundaries of traditional theatre forms and opening your mind &
body to creative free fall!
The course will include: Devising techniques
Staging
The role of the audience
Composition
The generation of text and non verbal material
Ensemble and individual performing/creating
The training technique is based on play and the exploration of creative possibilities within a supportive, relaxed
environment where everyone can learn effectively, safely and at their own pace. The techniques taught have been
learned and developed from Tracey's extensive work in the UK and with practitioners from around the world and from
her training at Dartington College of Arts (the only UK drama school that specialises in training in devising and the
creation of 'new' theatre and performance.)
There will be an informal sharing of work at the end of each term working towards a full production of a devised piece in
the summer term.
Age 16 + This course is suitable for anyone interested in an intro to devising. The course also will provide an opportunity
for the more experienced to explore and create new theatre.

- Contact stagefight to confirm availability using the email above or use the
class/course enquiry form and we will forward your enquiry to them.
- Pay £20 deposit by clicking the button (see right.) This will reserve your place
but for insurance purposes we still require your application form to be filled in.
- Download the Application Form (see right), which includes the Terms and
Conditions
- Fill in on Microsoft Word or print it out to fill in by hand.
- Return the Application form to stagefight by email or by post (care of the theatre,
address is on the form.)

After payment you will receive a paypal receipt for the transaction. We will be in contact with you
shortly after that.
