Due to personal circumstances Wing Beat are no longer able to produce Two Way Mirror at the Blue Orange Theatre. We are looking into the possibility of producing the show ourselves. We will confirm dates once we have them.

The workshops will have informal sharings of work at the end of each term culminating in the rehearsal of a full production in the summer term. Ages: 16+  This course is suitable for complete beginners and those with a little experience wanting to brush up on the basics. Does the prospect of creating new work free from the restrictions of a script or boundaries of traditional theatre excite you? Devising is about unlocking creativity, stretching the boundaries of traditional theatre forms and opening your mind & body to creative free fall! The course will include:  Devising techniques                                           Staging                                        The role of the audience                                           Composition                                        The generation of text and non verbal material                                        Ensemble and individual performing/creating The training technique is based on play and the exploration of creative possibilities within a supportive, relaxed environment where everyone can learn effectively, safely and at their own pace. The techniques taught have been learned and developed from Tracey's extensive work in the UK and with practitioners from around the world and from her training at Dartington College of Arts (the only UK drama school that specialises in training in devising and the creation of 'new' theatre and performance.) There will be an informal sharing of work at the end of each term working towards a full production of a devised piece in the summer term. Age 16 + This course is suitable for anyone interested in an intro to devising. The course also will provide an opportunity for the more experienced to explore and create new theatre.
